Grassroots involvement has always helped Extension be relevant to the needs of our clientele. To efficiently develop and implement high quality educational programs, we must continue to partner with our community leaders. Community leaders work with Extension educators through Program Area Committees and Youth Boards. Program Area Committees advise agents about issues and needs in the areas of agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, and community and economic development. Specifically, Program Area Committees assist county Extension agents with the planning, implementation, evaluation and interpretation of educational programs.
The following resources are available to assist county Extension agents when working with Program Area Committees.
