The Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, & Communications and the Texas AgriLife Extension Organizational Development Unit welcomed the V.G. Young Institute of County Government and TALL (Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership)…/SALE-LE (San Antonio Livestock Exposition-Leadership Extension) into the department on April 1, 2012.
The V.G. Young Institute (vgyi.tam.edu) provides county officials and the public education and resources in order to meet the needs of county governments in Texas. The TALL /SALE-LE programs provide leadership training and insight. The TALL (tall.tamu.edu) program sustains and strengthens our food and fiber system by building future Texas agricultural leaders from within the industry. The SALE-LE (sale.tamu.edu) program provides Texas AgriLife Extension Service personnel the leadership development needed to provide leadership in their roles as agents and specialists. All three programs bring excellent strengths and resources to our department and we look forward to a rewarding future with them.
